The project for the hall “Traditional Vratsa Goldsmithing” at the Regional Historical Museum of Vratsa aims to immerse visitors in the mysticism of Vratsa’s Thracian heritage, with a focus on the treasure from the Mogilanska Mound.
The project places the findings from the mound at its center, enclosed by a semi-transparent screen that maintains a visual connection to the objects from anywhere in the hall.
Graphic elements on the floor display historical epochs—Thracians, Antiquity, the Middle Ages, and the National Revival—each represented in different colors. These graphics extend to the display cases showcasing artifacts from the respective periods.
With the central element, we aim to restore part of the mystique of the Thracians, which was deeply woven into their rituals, lives, and history.
At key moments in the exhibition, there are games for children and augmented reality features that present the chariot from the Mogilanska Mound, which cannot be physically restored.
