“forREST,” is an innovative proposal for the Sansusi Festival competition. This project is designed to offer festival-goers a dual experience: a direct communal experience from our auditorium, which doubles as a bar, and a more personal, secluded experience within the depths of the Latvian forest. Our design, utilizing a network of cables and gramophones, ensures that sound travels beautifully through the trees, reaching a series of specially selected locations. “forREST” transforms into a living organism that grows from the stage, providing an enchanting blend of sound, nature, and light. Our design respects and amplifies the natural beauty and sounds of the forest, creating a symbiotic relationship between the festival and its surroundings.
The project presents the full possible scale of our master plan, showcasing the extensive network of sound booths and cables designed to provide an immersive experience throughout the forest. However, we understand that the project’s scope may need to be adjusted based on the festival’s specific needs and constraints, for which reason the number of sound booths and cables length could be adjusted.
